Premanu Foundation was founded in January 2019 by two students from TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences), with their hearts set on one belief: every child deserves a fair chance, regardless of where they start from.
In a remarkably short span of time, that belief turned into action across five Indian states. We've reached more than 29,000 children since our founding, working alongside government bodies, schools and local communities rather than around them.
We see children as the people who will write our civilisation's next chapter. That means they deserve guidance toward a life full of real opportunity, not charity that ends when the cameras leave. This is still just the beginning, and we don't see an end to it.
Not a beneficiary. Not a statistic. A leader of the change happening around them.
We don't treat any programme as finished. Every effort loops back into the next one.
Understand the gap from the community's own view, not an assumption from outside it.
Design a response that fits the school, the community and the system already in place.
Run it, hand over ownership to the community, and use what we learn on the next one.
We don't run an education NGO that occasionally touches health, or a livelihoods programme with a side project in protection. Every domain is staffed, planned and funded as part of one integrated effort.
